Some of them have had the temerity to seek royalties from Hitler’s bestselling book Mein Kampf (1925) without success. But what of Hitler himself? But other gossip about “Hitler’s son” had circulated in France and Germany since the early 1960s. Then in the 1970s, more detailed rumors emerged around the Saint-Quentin district in France and were published most prominently in illustrated magazines such as the German scandal sheet Bunte [Colorful] and more respectable papers, such as the historical journal Zeitgeschichte.
